With their Scottish heritage at the fore, players from Eildon took to the lawns in cold and windy conditions to compete against McIlwraith in the Division 2 and 3 pennants round on Sunday July 21.

Despite the chilly weather, the day was marked by ernest and good spirited play. Ultimately, McIlwraith won the battle on the lawns with wins in both divisions - Div 2 (8 games to 2 and 64 hoops to 46) and closely edging out Eildon in Div3 (5 games all; 49 hoops to 46 hoops). 

Special thanks to referee Penny Jackson who dashed energetically between the lawns, keeping a watchful eye out for crushes, double taps, jump shots and fouls and keeping all the bonney lassies and laddies at play!
