ALFRED DELIVERS A WINDY HI-LO DOUBLES FINAL

Kerrie Hodgson and Jeffrey Searle battled wild winds and tough competition to claim victory in the Roger Brown Hi-Lo Doubles competition on Wednesday, March 5, played under the blustery influence of Cyclone Alfred. In a hard-fought best-of-three final, overcoming Glenn Gardner and Graham Young with scores of 7-5 and 7-4.

The event, the first competition of the year, saw 20 players take to the lawns, navigating strategy and swirling conditions. At the end of play, Kerrie and Jeffrey were warmly congratulated by Lynne McPherson, partner of the late Roger Brown whose long-standing contribution as Club Captain is honoured through this competition.
