Croq-ay”, “croq-ee”, “cro-qay” whichever way you say it, croquet means fun!

People of all ages and levels of ability are welcome to try a game at McIlwraith Croquet Club. You'll be welcomed by one of our helpful members and shown the game in a friendly environment to learn and grow in this fascinating sport. 

At McIlwraith, we are dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for beginners, ensuring that your introduction to croquet is both enjoyable and rewarding, preparing you to run hoops with the best!

Become a Member

Croquet is a very reasonably priced sport to play. At McIlwraith, membership fees range from  $470 (pensioners) to $550 (full members) per year (as at June 2024).

Members don’t pay green fees. The Club has mallets available on loan and can help players buy their own. The only other things you need to play are flat-soled shoes and a sun hat. 

Visiting croquet players are welcome. Please feel free to join us on any member playing day and meet the friendly locals. Visitor fees per session are $7 for CAQ accredited players and $10 for non-accredited players.
